上記文章のI can walk back then now. が気になってしまいまが、いかがでしょうか？カフェの同僚が店にふさわしい植木鉢を探いて、が調べて値段表を見せて、はその中からこれにしようと選んでいるという場面だと思います。。

ただ、がwalk back thで「歩いて戻ります」だと、はカフェではなくまるでガーデニングストアの店員みたいな印象です。。

往復します、なら別ですが、戻りますだと。。

この文のbackは実質「back and forth」と解釈するのがいいのでしょうか？また、メインの質問ではないのですが、上記会話をリスニングすると「sold at the〜」がどうも「so that the〜」に聞こえてしまいます。。
